Ms. Sanjivani Srivastava is a Ph.D. scholar (in Agricultural Economics) at the Gokhale Institute of Politics & Economics, Pune. Her doctoral work focuses on linking regenerative agricultural practices with carbon credits through the application of remote sensing and advanced modeling techniques. She holds an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics and a B.Sc. in Foods & Nutrition from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology. Throughout her academic journey, she has won several accolades, such as the Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medal during graduationand Smt. Saraswati Panda Award. Her outstanding research work during the Master’s programme earned her the Student Excellence Award and Research Award by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). She was selected under the prestigious DEFIAA project, jointly administered by the French Ministry of Agriculture and the Indian Ministry of Agriculture, for professional training in Chartres, France.
Her academic contributions include publications in Scopus-indexed journals and presenting and rapporteuring at national and international conferences. She has completed trainings, workshops, courses, and participated in events sponsored or organized by IIRS-ISRO, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), Johns Hopkins University, Elsevier Researcher Academy, among others. She is proficient in Google Earth Engine, Erdas Imagine, SPSS, and GRETL. Additionally, she has peer-reviewed for leading journals, including Agricultural Water Management and China Agricultural Economic Review.
Ms. Srivastava’s research interests lie at the intersection of food, agriculture, sustainability, and technology-driven policy design, reflecting her commitment to interdisciplinary research.
